My window wipers park in the middle of the window screen when they stop, how can i get them to stop at bottom?

i have recently changed the linkage arms to my wipers, i have set them to several different positions but they still keep stopping in the centre of the window screen, does anyone know how to get them to sit at the bottom of the window screen. My window wipers park in the middle of the window screen when they stop, how can i get them to stop at bottom?
Dear god how you people love splashing the cash about to cure such a simple problem.First method there is a cap about 2.5 ins in diameter on top of the wiper motor gearbox and it will have a wire connected to it,loosen the screws on the tin plate cover and by turning the cap round this sets the position that the blades park.Second method,if you have a different type of wiper motor do this.with the blades parked on the centre of the screen slide the arms off and then put them on again at the parking position you want,it really is that simpleMy window wipers park in the middle of the window screen when they stop, how can i get them to stop at bottom?
If they stop in a certain position rather than simply stop as soon as you switch them off, it's not the motor. The motor will carry on turning until some pre-determined point at which it switches off, if it does this and the wipers are in the middle of the screen then you'll just need to experiment a bit more with the linkage. Might be worth checking it's all been assembled correctly too.

If the wipers just stop as soon as you turn the switch off, then I'd suspect the motor. My window wipers park in the middle of the window screen when they stop, how can i get them to stop at bottom?
You probably need to replace the motor itself. There is a parking switch inside the motor that shuts power when the wipers are parked. You can sometimes repair the parking switch by disassembling the motors gearbox but most motors are so inexpensive it's not worth the trouble to repair it.My window wipers park in the middle of the window screen when they stop, how can i get them to stop at bottom?
Howard L is right. Replace the wiper motor. The parking switch cam or the parking switch plunger in the wiper drive gear assembly is worn or the parking switch on the wiper drive gear assembly is defective. The quick and easy fix is to replace the wiper motor assembly. My window wipers park in the middle of the window screen when they stop, how can i get them to stop at bottom?
You have fitted the link arm to the motor spindle 180 degrees out.Disconnect it ,turn the wipers on then off and the motor will self park, put the wipers at the bottom of the screen and fasten the link arm back onto the motor spindleMy window wipers park in the middle of the window screen when they stop, how can i get them to stop at bottom?
WHAT KIND OF A CAR IS IT ? IT IS MONTANA ?
